In 20 words or less, what is the best thing about being part of this department?
Working closely with professors and classmates on tough problems.

What is your biggest piece of advice to first years and sophomores about getting connected to this department?
Go to events! Tea time, SPS meetings, and other department events are a great way to meet other students and professors and find new friends.

What is the most valuable thing you’ve learned at K?
The importance of creating a large network of friends and colleagues to help each other grow.

What has been your favorite class at K?
Thermal Physics and Statistical Mechanics (PHYS 360)! I had lots of friends in the class. We had a lot of fun working through the material together.

How have you taken advantage of the open curriculum or experienced breadth in your education?
I’ve taken tons of classes outside of the Physics major, ranging from computer science and math courses to business, economics, and even music!

What experiential education opportunities have you participated in?
I’m the president of SPS, Senior Leader of the MPC, and went to an REU at the University of Florida.

What is your SIP?
Building a custom ramp truck from scratch.

Generally speaking, what is your favorite thing about K?
The tight-knit community of students.

What is a random fun fact about you?
I like lifting weights.
