In 20 words or less, what is the best thing about being part of this department?
Supportive community, engaging professors, and the flexibility to explore both theory and application across physics, engineering, and real-world problem-solving.

What is your biggest piece of advice to first years and sophomores about getting connected to this department?
Be proactive. Attend department events, talk to professors during office hours, and don’t be afraid to ask questions about classes, research, or career paths. Building relationships early helps you find mentors, discover opportunities, and feel more confident in your journey.

What is something you know now that you wish you could tell your first-year self?
Fear not asking your teachers about advice on career paths. They can advise you based on your interests and connect you with alumni that had the same question you have and went on to follow similar paths as you.

What is the most valuable thing you’ve learned at K?
It only takes a very short moment of courage to overcome things that you want to do but feel afraid to. Introducing yourself, participating in class, joining a club you never thought you would enjoy and trying something new. You’ll get so much out of it and find amazing people that will grow with you in the process.

What has been your favorite class at K?
All calculus classes felt completely worth it once I took Ordinary Differential Equations (MATH280). Having an expert teach you the fundamentals for advanced mathematics in such a fun and low stress environment sparked further curiosity. I felt like a little kid again!

How have you taken advantage of the open curriculum or experienced breadth in your education?
Beyond my STEM courses, I’ve explored other areas through classes like History of Jazz, which deepened my appreciation for music and culture, and a Teaching Seminar, where I volunteered in local schools to help foster inclusivity and support for recently immigrated students.

What experiential education opportunities have you participated in?
I am on K’s Men’s Golf Team, the Student Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC), the President Student Ambassador program and in clubs like Frelon, SPS and KLIP.

What are your career aspirations/next steps after K?
I hope to pursue a career in consulting or analytics, eventually moving into investment or private equity work with a focus on clean energy and sustainable technologies.

What is a random fun fact about you?
I have a twin sister!
